10 Best Restaurants in Brisbane… and just a short stroll from Arcadium!

Dear Adventurers and Prospective Adventurers,

I receive many requests for information – as you may expect – in my role as Director of the Department of the Obfuscated.

Today, I take a short break from my usual duties to share with you all 10 of the best and most delicious restaurants in Brisbane…all found just a short stroll from the Brisbane Chapter of Arcadium Adventures.

Knowhere (Website)
Wonderfully whimsical, our new neighbours at Knowhere serve up delicious modern Australian dishes crafted from hyper-seasonal local produce, featuring house-made dry-aged, smoked and charcuterie meats as well as expertly crafted cocktails late into the night.

Open 7 days for Breakfast through to Dinner.

Le Cache a Vin (Website)
This charming restaurant can be found underneath the old St Paul’s Tavern and serves sophisticated french dishes. The venue can facilitate a quick business lunch at the bar as easily as occasion diners or private functions (in a 14-seat wine room). The menu of timeless French dishes includes foie gras, escargots, baked spatchcock and confit duck.

Open Monday to Friday for Lunch and Dinner.

The Incholm Bar
Located just a few doors down from Arcadium, the Inchcolm Bar will whisk you away to another time and place the minute you step inside.

Choose from lighter options such as spinach & gruyere dip or escargot with bageuette; chicken liver pate and grilled sourdough; steak tartare, oysters or Yarra Valley Caviar or an artisan cheese or charcuterie platter or a range of more substantial dishes including delectable dessert options!

Open 7 days for Lunch and Dinner.

O Brasileiro (Website)
O Brasileiro is a little slice of Brazil found in Brisbane’s CBD dishing up authentic Brazilian fare for breakfast, lunch and dessert located a short 5 minute walk from Arcadium Adventures.

Choose from snacks include coxinha (shredded chicken and cream cheese), bolinha de queijo (mozzarella and cream cheese) and bolinha de carne seca (jerk beef with cream cheese) covered in dough, moulded and deep-fried or you can choose from hearty lunches and dinners or traditional desserts: brigadeiro (sweet ball of condensed milk and cocoa powder) pudim (caramel pudding with vanilla bean) or Romeo and Juliet – cheese cake with guava jam.

Open 7 Days for Lunch and Fridays and Saturdays for Dinner as well.

Corbett & Claude (Website)
One of our favourite options for excellent italian fare is the CBD-based Corbett and Claude.

Hidden down an alleyway off Elizabeth Street in the CBD, Corbett & Claude is inspired by the old Corbett Chambers. Featuring a 12-tap craft beer bar, a well-edited cocktail list (for us that like the hard stuff), along with pizzas and small sharing plates, and a perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends.

Open Monday – Friday for Lunch and Dinner or Saturday for Dinner.

The Alliance Hotel (Website)

Built in 1888, The Alliance Hotel is a Brisbane institution and an easy contender for best pub in Brisbane. The quaint, almost rustic English-style interior, and an award-winning menu have made The Alliance Hotel a favourite of inner-city Brisbanites since way back!

Located a short walk up the road from Arcadium Adventures, stop by and experience one of Brisbane best pubs for yourself!

Open Tuesday – Saturday for Lunch and Dinner.

Creole Soul Kitchen (Website)
Here you’ll find Creole staples like po’boys, gumbo, salads and pizza straight out of New Orleans. The pizza and pasta are an Italian/Louisiana fusion, derived from the 200 year old Italian community of New Orleans. The cosy licensed eatery has a smattering of tables and chairs on the pavement and inside where diners can sit and enjoy their food with a cold beer or soft drink.

Open Monday – Friday for Dinner and Thursday and Friday for Lunch as well.
